Hatton Garden EC1The clients were a young couple, expecting their first child, who had recently bought this two bedroom flat in the heart of the Jewellery district in central London. The host building was a 70's office development which had undergone a wholesale conversion to apartments in the 90’s.
The principal concern of the brief was to remove all dated finishes from within the property, upgrade all services, and try to reconfigure the spaces to work much more effectively for a young family. The clients were also keen, in contrast to the faux arches that had previously been installed, to strip the finishes back to expose as much of the structure and fabric of the building as possible.
